Romy Conzen is a Belgian singer songwriter with a strong personality and a talent to match. Born in the east of Belgium to a Dutch mother and Belgian father, she is fluent in four languages - French and Dutch, which she grew up speaking, and German and English, which she learnt later on.
Romy's first album Black As Night was released in October 2012 on Roughtrade, to critical acclaim. Described as a sultry rock chanteuse, it attracted radio play across Benelux. It also made waves internationally, getting airtime in the U.K. and screentime in the US.
2015 and 16 saw Romy hitting the road, playing many shows in Belgium Holland and Germany, including a headline slot at Belgium's biggest festival « Les Francofolies de Spa », where her performance gains critical acclaim from the medias.
April 2017 saw the release of new album V for Victory, which was an instant favourite with Radio DJ's across Benelux. An inspired combination of funk and pop rock, singles 'Aiaio' and 'V for Victory' are now a permanent fixture on every radio station playing pop rock in the territory!
On April 4, 2018, the album V for Victory was released in Germany and on April 13, 2018 in the USA. She was nominated in three categories at the JOSIE MUSIC AWARDS 2018 in Nashville (best rock female artist of the year, best rock album of the year, best rock song of the year for "Going Down")
Versatile, with a voice ranging from warm and husky in acoustic ballad Bitter Now, to rock goddess in V for Victory, Romy is THE best thing to come out of Belgium in a long time. Whether up close and personal with just a guitar and microphone, or with her formidable backing band, Romy breathes new life into the live music experience.

Dotée d’une forte personnalité et d’un talent certain, Romy Conzen est une auteur-compositrice- interprète belge. Originaire de la région germanophone, elle parle couramment le français, l’anglais, le néerlandais, et l’allemand.
En octobre 2012, elle sort son premier album Black As Night distribué par Roughtrade. Cet album attire déjà l’intérêt de nombreuses radios dans le Benelux et en Angleterre ainsi que de plusieurs télévisions indépendantes aux Etats-Unis.
Son nouvel album « V for Victory » est sorti fin avril 2017 sous le label MVM music. De style pop-rock, il est composé de douze titres originaux, dont neuf en anglais et trois en français. Chaque morceau a sa propre identité musicale aux influences pop- rock et funk. L’album comporte aussi des titres plus intimes, un morceau doté d’une couleur orientale et deux morceaux acoustiques. Ce nouvel album a été très bien reçu par les médias et a été diffusé sur toutes les radios pop rock belges les plus importantes.
Le 4 avril 2018, l’album V for Victory est sorti en Allemagne et le 13 avril 2018 aux USA. Les retours sont très positifs et très prometteur pour l’avenir.
Actuellement, suite à la promotion effectuée aux Etats-Unis, Romy a été nominée au « Josie Music Awards » de Nashville dans trois catégories (Meilleure artiste féminine rock 2018, Meilleur album rock 2018, Meilleure chanson rock 2018 pour « Going Down »)
Elle s'est déjà produite à plusieurs reprise avec son groupe, sur de grandes scènes dont les Francofolies, le Belzik festival, le Baudet’stival(Luxembourg), « 30 ans de Classic 21 », Première partie d’Anastacia (Germany) et beaucoup d’autres … Ainsi qu'en acoustique sur différentes scènes en Belgique, Pays-Bas et Allemagne.
Avec sa voix originale, chaude et voilée, Romy vous transporte. Que ce soit avec son band qui dégage une énergie certaine ou en solo, sa voix et sa guitare comme seules armes.
